| An analytical method is presented based on H2 optimal control theory for the design of Smith predictor，which provides both good performance and robustness
simultaneously. The Smith predictor is essentially the same as Dahlin controller. We also show that they are equivalent to a PID controller.An example is included to illustrate
the approach. |
