| This paper presents an analytical solution to the LQ inverse problem for systems with single input control variable in terms of the eigenvalues of both open-loop system and closed loop system. By utilizing this result，the weighting matrices Q and R can be easily obtained，and the sufficient condition for the exsitence of LQ inverse problem is immediate as well. |
